Games (G) - Any player that takes a snap on offense at LT, LG, C, RG, or RT in any game will be credited with playing in that game as an offensive lineman.
Penalties (P)– This stat tracks the number of penalties an offensive lineman gets each game whether the penalty is accepted or declined.
Pressures Allowed (PA) - A stat that will assign blame to an offensive lineman who allows the defender he is attempting to block to sack, hit, or hurry the QB on passing plays.
Sacks Allowed (SA) – A stat that will assign blame to an offensive lineman who allows the defender he is attempting to block to sack the QB on passing plays. QBs can be sacked without a lineman at fault for several reasons. Some of which include: Coverage sack, QB at fault sack, or if a non-lineman such as an RB, TE, etc. allows the sack.
Snap Count (SC) - Tracks the number of snaps each player plays in.
Tackles For Loss Allowed (TFLA) – This is an offensivelinestats.com exclusive stat that assigns blame to an offensive lineman who allows the defender he is attempting to block to tackle the ball carrier on a designed run play behind the line of scrimmage. offensivelinestats.com is the only publication that tracks this stat.
Pressures Allowed Percentage (PA%) - A stat that tracks the frequency at which offensive lineman allow pressures per opportunity to allow pressure.
Pressure Report Table Terminology
Blitz - A stat that tracks the number of times a team blitzes on pass plays.
Blitz Rate - A stat that tracks the number of times a team blitzes per pass snap defended. This stat is a better measure than the raw blitz stat to show which teams blitz the most because teams that defend a lower amount of pass plays could blitz more than a team that has defended more pass plays that has more total blitzes.
Defensive Line Pressure (DLPR) - This is an OLS exclusive stat that tracks how often players that are defensive lineman for a team get pressures. Some teams generate pressures more by blitzing and will have stand-up LBs and DBs with significant amounts of pressures. The purpose of this stat is to better measure which teams are getting to the QB with just their D-line. For the purposes of this stat, defensive line players are edge defenders (4-3 DEs and 3-4 OLBs) and interior defenders (3-4 DEs and any DT).
Defensive Line Pressure Percentage (DLPR%) - A stat that tracks what percentage of a team's pressures come from defensive line players. This stat combined with the blitz rate stat can show which teams are consistently generating the most pressure with just their defensive line. Teams with lower blitz rates and a higher DLPR% most likely have the most productive pass rushing defensive lines.
Defensive Line Pressure Per Pass Snap Defended (DLPR/PS) - A stat that tracks the rate of pressure by a team's defensive lineman per pass snaps defended. Similar to blitz rate, this stat is intended to be a better measure of D-line pressure by accounting for the volume of pass snaps defended.
GP - Measures the amount of games a team has played during the season.
Sack (SK) - A stat that tracks when a defender tackles the QB behind the line of scrimmage with the ball in his hands.
Pass Snaps Defended (PSD) - This stat tracks how many pass snaps a defense has defended.
Pressure (PR) - A stat that tracks when a defender sacks, hits, or hurries the QB on passing plays.
Pressure Per Pass Snap Defended (PR/PS) - A stat that tracks the rate of pressure by number of pass snaps defended. It is a better representation of how often teams get pressure than the raw pressure stat because it.
